Environment and Sustainability Specialist (Saudi Arabia)

Eram Talent is searching for an Environment and Sustainability Specialist to join their team in Saudi Arabia. The Environment and Sustainability Specialist will work collaboratively with a range of technical specialists on a broad range of projects and will coordinate impact assessments, review and evaluate impacts, develop mitigation measures, and support the development of Environmental and Social Management Plans on behalf of a government client. The role will be a combination of fieldwork and report writing and will be based in client offices in Riyadh, KSA. Key Responsibilities • Assist in developing and implementing sustainability policies and procedures across various departments. • Conduct environmental assessments and sustainability audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with local regulations. • Coordination and delivery of environmental audits and environmental and social impact assessments. • Good understanding and practical experience with international lender standards e.g., Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards. • An understanding of the approach and process steps of environmental impact assessment, and knowledge of regional environmental regulations and their application • Professional membership or certification with recognised organisations (e.g., IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM, IES, PMP Certificate) would be advantageous. • Collaborate with project teams to integrate sustainability considerations into project planning and execution. • Monitor, analyze, and report on environmental performance metrics. • Provide training and guidance to staff on sustainability practices and environmental regulations. • Stay informed about emerging sustainability trends and best practices, and recommend innovative solutions. • Engage with stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives and community outreach efforts.
