Junior Backend Engineer

Purpose: To develop, maintain, and support reliable backend applications and services that enable business capabilities and digital products in accordance with established engineering and security standards. Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs in Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.  • Translate functional and technical requirements into working, tested software.  • Integrate services with databases, internal platforms, and external partner systems.  • Work with event streaming and messaging (Kafka, MQ) under guidance.  • Write clean, maintainable, testable code in line with engineering standards.  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and defect resolution.  • Apply secure coding practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection requirements.  • Support deployment and monitoring on containerized platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes) through established CI/CD pipelines.  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and squad ceremonies.  • Support production troubleshooting under the guidance of senior engineers.  • Maintain relevant technical documentation.  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and application quality.
