Why This Role Matters The Senior Specialist, Full Potential Identification plays a critical role in unlocking operational value across Maaden’s assets by identifying, validating, and accelerating performance improvement opportunities. The role enables business units to realize their full potential through structured diagnostics, value-based prioritization, and data-driven performance optimization. By combining operational expertise, analytical insight, and continuous improvement methodologies, the role helps improve throughput, reliability, recovery, cost efficiency, energy performance, safety outcomes, and sustainability performance. The position ensures that improvement opportunities are translated into measurable business impact and sustained value realization. The role also strengthens organizational capability by building performance management discipline, fostering accountability, and enabling cross-functional collaboration between operations, maintenance, technical, finance, digital, and analytics teams. This supports Ma’aden’s operational excellence agenda and technology-enabled mining ambitions. What You Will Deliver Opportunity Identification & Value Creation • Lead operational diagnostics to identify high-value opportunities across production, reliability, cost, recovery, energy, safety, and operational performance. • Quantify improvement potential through data-driven analysis, benchmarking, and structured assessment methodologies. • Develop robust value cases that support prioritization and informed decision-making. Performance Improvement & Value Realization • Drive measurable business outcomes through effective monitoring of improvement initiatives and value realization plans. • Identify risks, performance gaps, and value leakage factors and implement corrective actions to maximize benefits. • Strengthen accountability for delivery through transparent performance tracking and reporting mechanisms. Operational Excellence & Analytics • Leverage operational data, performance indicators, and analytical insights to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities. • Translate operational challenges into practical process, technology, automation, and digital improvement initiatives. • Improve decision quality through fact-based insights and performance intelligence. Stakeholder Alignment & Capability Building • Facilitate collaboration between operations, maintenance, finance, technical, digital, and data teams to accelerate improvement outcomes. • Coach teams on performance management, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and value tracking practices. • Build ownership and accountability to sustain improvements and replicate successful practices across assets. Governance & Continuous Improvement • Maintain visibility of opportunity pipelines, implementation progress, realized value, risks, and lessons learned. • Enhance methodologies, maturity assessment frameworks, KPI standards, and value realization processes. • Strengthen governance mechanisms that improve consistency, transparency, and effectiveness of improvement initiatives. What Success Looks Like • Significant improvement opportunities are identified, quantified, and converted into actionable initiatives. • Approved initiatives consistently deliver measurable operational and financial value. • Throughput, recovery, reliability, energy efficiency, and cost performance improve across supported operations. • Performance improvement programs demonstrate sustained value realization and reduced benefit leakage. • Site teams adopt stronger performance management and continuous improvement practices. • Data-driven decision-making becomes embedded within operational and improvement activities. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Process Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience • 6–8 years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, performance optimization, asset performance, or value realization roles. • Experience identifying, quantifying, and tracking improvement opportunities within mining, processing, manufacturing, utilities, or heavy industrial environments. • Experience in KPI management, operational diagnostics, root cause analysis, and performance monitoring frameworks. • Experience coordinating cross-functional improvement initiatives involving operational, technical, finance, digital, and analytics stakeholders.
