Expert Platform Engineer

Purpose: To design and evolve scalable, secure, and resilient technology platforms that enable engineering teams to efficiently develop, deploy, operate, and monitor enterprise applications and digital services.  Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Design and implement scalable platform architecture and engineering solutions.  • Define platform engineering standards, patterns, and technical practices.  • Develop and enhance infrastructure automation and Infrastructure-as-Code capabilities.  • Design and optimize CI/CD platforms, deployment pipelines, and developer tooling.  • Drive containerization, orchestration, cloud, and platform automation practices.  • Ensure platform security, resilience, availability, scalability, and performance.  • Lead technical resolution of complex platform and infrastructure issues.  • Develop self-service platform capabilities that improve developer productivity.  • Evaluate platform technologies and recommend improvements and modernization opportunities.  • Provide advanced technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.  • Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, SRE, and application engineering teams.
